5.4 GHZ Wireless

The 5.4 GHz unlicensed product is now able to be sold in the US and Canada due to the opening of 5.4 GHz by the FCC. This provides an exciting Greenfield application for the US and Canada. The Canopy 5.4GHz product allows network operators almost double the amount of spectrum with 255 MHz of usable frequency band. This is about as wide as 900Mhz, 2.4 Ghz, 5.2 Ghz and 5.7Ghz unlicensed frequency bands combined. This means twice as many 5.4 GHz AP’s can be deployed at a tower location therefore increasing capacity.
