A wireless client adapter is a wireless network interface card (NIC) much like a standard NIC in your PC which connects to a copper ethernet cable, except it connects to a wireless 802.11a/b/g radio network. Wireless client adapters (AKA: Wireless Card Bus Adapters, Wireless Network Interface Card, WNIC, wireless card) comes in several forms PCI, PCMCIA and mini-PCI.
