Milestone Xprotect Enterprise vs. Axis Camera Station
- Multiple site and servers distributed architecture with unlimited cameras and servers (ACS is only single-site); with XPE, there is no additional cost to run the license on multiple servers, so the benefit with Milestone can be immediately felt with the scalability.
- SmartClient with up to 64 concurrent camera views (ACS only has 16 live concurrently); camera activity bar with time synchronized review of camera views; export of database and AVI file (ACS is only ASF); unlimited number of concurrent SmartClients (XPE & XPC); floating window and SmartMatrix view capabilities.
- Multiple camera brand support 42 brands, 400+ devices (ACS only supports Axis).
- Scalable XPE/XPCO can be purchased in single camera license counts, once the initial system is in place allowing Xprotect to grow with you. As opposed to ACS where once the one site license exceeds the 25 (50) camera count, a completely seperate new standalone system will have to be purchased.
- Ease of Use Milestone has a very intuitive interface (ACS is as well).
- Archiving capability XPE can be scheduled hourly and XPCO continuously as needed (ACS is only once per day).
- Hardware optimized Milestone is known to work very efficiently with the network and PC/Server hardware as compared to other software; hard to show, but important to note.
- SDK/API available for free for customized integration - access control, retail systems, etc adding to Xprotects flexibility.
