McCown Technology In Line POE Fuse for CAT5/6, 800-POE-FUSE
Designed to to fit connect in series with CAT5/6 cables, the POE FUSE protects POE power supplies, such as switches, from being blown due to over current situations. The MTC POE FUSE provides fast acting fuses on each individual wire of a CAT5 cable to prevent damage to to the powering device, as well as preventing surges from back feeding into the power supply. The POE FUSE works to protect both the device and the power supply from damage in the event of a surge of POE device that may also short the incoming CAT5/6 cable. This device must be installed between the POE supply and the surge suppressor device to properly protect the supply.
