Neat and Discreet – the Hanwha Pinhole Cameras

The Hanwha (formerly Samsung Security) WiseNet III family of pinhole cameras provides covert and discreet surveillance in indoor law enforcement, retail, bank, ATM, hotel and office environments.

The WiseNet III modular pinhole cameras from Hanwha are quite possibly the coolest, most effective tool we’ve seen in covert surveillance this year. These easy-to-install Power over Ethernet (PoE), 30 frames per second at FullHD 1080p cameras can be easily and discreetly installed in walls, ceilings, or doorways. And both cameras offer a 2 MP, 4.6mm lens that provides a full 71 degree horizontal viewing angle.

While both the SNB-6010A and 6010B are feature-rich, the 6010B includes audio detection and face detection, making it an optimal solution for extremely covert interview and surveillance situations. Both audio and video is integrated over a single Ethernet cable and requires no additional power (although it can be mounted with 12v DC).

We like the modular design of these cameras. There a camera unit that includes a header bracket, providing easy tilt, depth adjustment and rotation options. A 1.5 meter cable connects the units. The main unit includes a micro SDXC slot, which is intelligently located away from the camera unit, thus preventing potential theft of the recordings; and it can be installed on ceilings or walls—they fit perfection in junction boxes with coax faceplate mounted. Installation is simple, even in compact spots.

Both cameras support motion detection, local storage, and an open IP system so that they will work with third-party surveillance systems such as Milestone Systems. And because they include a microSD memory card slot, the WiseNet III camera family also offers video management for edge storage and software support.

SNB-6010A and 6011B pinhole cameras include a unique DSP (Digital Signal Processor) chipset technology from Hanwha and super clear video with 1080p at 30fps (H.264) and a wide dynamic range of 120dB.
