Baicells Nova 436Q Lets You Connect More with Less

Baicells Technologies has just release the Nova 436Q eNodeB (eNB). It’s available for pre-order through WLANmall now. This LTE Advanced 3.5 GHz eNodeB supports both Carrier Aggregation (CA) or Dual Carrier (DC) mode. In CA mode, the Nova 436Q aggregates two contiguous or non-contiguous channels using bands 42, 43, and 48, which effectively doubles the user bandwidth capacity. In DC mode, the Nova 436Q make two independent carriers available which can be deployed in split mode using two separate sectors. With Nova 436Q, you can achieve the capacity of two single carrier eNBs in one hardware unit.

Delivered in a small cell form factor and CBRS Category A & B ready, this compact, future-proof unit comes with the HaloB embedded EPC. It delivers an aggregate peak rate of up to DL 220 Mbps, UL 56 Mbps* with 2x20 MHz spectrum.

Why do we like the Nova 436Q? Well, first of all, it supports the new 256QAM standards which is important. On top of that, the downlink and uplink carrier aggregation effectively doubles the capacity of the network or the users supported. Adding the HaloB on a lite EPC as a standard feature, now makes this a cost-effective alternative buying two separate eNodeBs.
