Mimosa, anyone? And it’s not even Sunday Brunch.

Mimosa Networks delivers low-cost, fiber-fast, fixed wireless connectivity in outdoor environments ranging from low-density, long-range rural to high-density, multi-location urban.

One of the toughest challenges in connectivity today is the conflict between the need for better and faster broadband and the cost in replacing old copper and coax with fiber.

Mimosa Networks offer a cost-effective fiber alternative using wireless. The company is coming out with high-scalability grade Massive MIMO (Multiple Input, Multiple Output) streams on their wireless access points and bridges, which increase spectrum capacity and give their users speeds comparable to fiber. Mimosa is also reducing interference by focusing and isolating the wireless antenna transmit signals to each client via geopositioning information, called beamforming. The beamforming technology allows for simultaneous and super-efficient use of MIMO streams, called Multi-User (MU) MIMO.

WLANmall is pleased to carry Mimosa Networks’ entire line of cloud-to-client products. We think Mimosa is a very inexpensive alternative solution when comparing bottom line costs. The Mimosa B11s allows for the use of Jirous antennas which is one of the industry’s most inexpensive antenna alternatives. Just a note of caution here, Jiros antennas are only FCC Cat B approved, but for short distances and immediate deployments, they’re a great, inexpensive solution.

Mimosa also recently engaged Radiowaves to have them make antennas and adapters for their radio flanges that will deliver a more reliable, efficient antenna patterns for longer range deployments. Inevitably, the higher price of the Radiowaves antennas will drive the bottom line costs up of a Mimosa deployment.

Let us know if we can answer any questions around Mimosa radios. We’re happy to help.
